January 8, 2024

Are you looking for activities to keep the kids entertained without breaking the bank? We have compiled our list of top affordable and enjoyable activities for the whole family, all within a stones through of Coffs Jetty.

Jetty Beach Foreshore has a fantastic playground where kids can climb, swing, and play. It's a great spot for families to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. For your coffee fix you will often find the Bean Movin coffee van conveniently located nearby.  Take the kids bikes or scooters for a longer activity and take a walk north towards the Jetty and Break Wall.

Jetty Jumping - A right of passage for your Coffs Harbour visit. On a warm day, let the kids have some fun jumping off the jetty into the calm waters. Make sure it's safe and suitable for swimming, and always supervise children.

Picnic at North Wall Pack a picnic and head to the North Wall for a relaxing day. Enjoy the scenic views of the ocean, watch the boats go by, and let the kids play in the grassy areas. Pick up a picnic basket from reception and check out our favourite items to fill your basket with.

Beachcombing Spend some time exploring the beaches around the jetty area. Kids often love collecting seashells, building sandcastles, and enjoying the waves. Also, look out and see how many different types of fish you can spot. We have seen lots of aquatic species such as Stingrays, Decorator crabs, Turtles, Eels, Dolphins and many more.

Fishing - If you have fishing gear, try some simple fishing off the jetty. It can be a great way to spend time together, and you might even catch something for dinner. Along the jetty you will find information about the different species that are local to Coffs Harbour. If the fish aren't biting you can head to the Fisherman's Co-op 7 days a week to grab dinner.

Coffs Creek Walk -  Take a stroll along the Coffs Creek Walk, which is a scenic and easy walk suitable for families. Enjoy the natural beauty and perhaps spot some local wildlife. Check out our map HERE for directions from The Observatory Apartments.
